Relatable. One time I forgot to screw on the bottom chamber of my hand grinder. Had grinds all over my shirt as they fell right to the floor 😂

Yesterday my new VS4 arrived. When testing it out I tried to hot start it by putting the beans in the dosing cup and feeding them in with the grinder running. Dosing cup still in my hand pouring beans in meanwhile the grounds pile up on the counter below…

I *knew* there was a downside to a bottomless portafilter! 🙂
And join the club: I’ve hand-ground my coffee beans without the grinder’s catch-cup in place, until I felt the tickle of ground coffee snow on my toes . . . . 🙂
